Position: Trade Show Coordinator                                

Role:  As a trade show coordinator you are the boots on the ground. You execute the planning of shows including the loading of merchandise onto the trucks, the set up of the event as well as oversee the entire production. You have a keen eye and do what it takes to deliver a great experience.  This role encompasses the full cycle of a trades event, you are responsible for executing all aspects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all trade show aspects, including but not limited to the following:
    • Load/unload the truck with show inventory
    • Execute the set up of the booth
    • Run the set up for the duration of the event (manage the team and drive the heck out of sales!)
    • Responsible for the execution of take down
    • Ultimately the success of the events rests on your shoulders
  • Ensure trade show’s meet financial and time constraints
  • Understand requirements for each trade show such as spacing, marketing, staffing etc.
  • Leverage business partners regularly within the following dept. Accounting, Merchandising/Product, Operations and HR
  • Oversee event in live time and act quickly to resolve obstacles
  • Responsible for overseeing the following tradeshows but not limited too Calgary Stampede, CFR, Agribition & Country Thunder

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience with trade shows including the execution from start to finish
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8-12 hour’s daily (This job isn’t for the faint of heart!)
  • A strong networker
  • Able to handle stress and remain effective
  • Well organized with multi tasking skills
  • Adaptable to changing conditions
  • A Minimum of 5 years experience in Trade Shows
  • A Minimum of 3 years retail experience (Multi unit Management preferred)
  • Leadership in both leading through others and ability to jump in and get things done individually

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Admin (or related field and experience)
  • Experienced tradesman considered an asset
